A new book by Hossein Ladjevardi

Written in Persian, this book is a passionate account of the author's concerns and anxieties for the today and tomorrow and Iran based on the facts and figures published by the Islamic regime governing Iran in the last thirty one years. Concern for the children who were ten years and under at the time of the 1979 Revolution and concern for the children born since the Revolution who together make up eight out of ten Iranians; a collective whose life is bleak and its tomorrows filled with deep rooted anxieties; children and young people plagued by perpetuating harm of social, economic and political problems. Hossein Ladjevardi has endeavoured to illustrate his concerns and anxieties through an investigation of official facts and figures published by the Islamic regime while fully aware that at best the figures are unreliable. This is the first of two volumes where the second examines possibilities, opportunities and offers solutions.
